A round neckline midi dress with full puff sleeves, featuring gathers at the waistline, tuck detailing on the hem, frill accents on the neckline, and tie details on the sleeve cuffs. Crafted from a cotton-silk blend fabric, it showcases a unique collage of handblock print, enhanced by scattered multicolor floral embroidery for a striking, textured look. The combination of multi-technique and multi-color embroidery adds depth and dimension to this beautifully detailed piece.

Motifs inspired by the diverse floral elements of Amer were first translated into hand-drawn watercolor paintings. These designs were then meticulously adapted into hand-carved blocks, carefully considering the limitations of the medium. The play with negative-positive space, color separation, and outlining led to both singular motifs and intricate, multi-layered repeats. As many as 80 small and large wooden blocks were used to create pattern repeats for a single garment.
